Pattern - AA Block - Delaware

American Album - Delaware Block 30 First State

# P32030
Delaware First State Block 30 - The Indians and the state were both named after the Delaware River. The Delaware River was named after Sir Thomas West (Lord de la Warr), the Virginia Company’s first governor. December 7, 1787, Delaware, became the first state to ratify the United States Constitution. Before that, it was the only colony to be claimed by Sweden, Holland and England. The first regularly operated steam railroad began operations in New Castle in 1831. State symbols: colors Colonial Blue & Buff, Strawberry, Peach Blossoms, Sweet Goldenrod, Tiger Swallowtail, Lady Bug, American Holly.

Finished block size 15in. - Our love for Baltimore Album Quilts made during the 1800's was the inspiration for our American Album Blocks. Each realistic album style block is filled with flowers, birds and a little American History. Each pattern includes full size numbered pattern with detailed embroidery instructions and Pearl's Easy Applique Techniques. Join us as we travel across America block by block and state by state.
