French General, founded by Kaari twenty years ago, evolved from a small barn shop in upstate New York into a multifaceted creative enterprise. It now encompasses a shop, a workshop offering classes in stitching, block printing, and natural dyeing, and a design studio for Kaari and her husband, JZ. Since 2008, French General has collaborated with Moda to design over 30 fabric collections and 60 quilt patterns, known for their historical French inspirations, fresh color palettes, and signature red hues. Beyond fabrics, French General also creates interior textiles, jewelry kits, and embroidery supplies. Additionally, Kaari hosts popular "French General Getaway" trips to the South of France, offering immersive experiences in local culture, crafting, and cooking.
