Houghton Hall, designed by Carolyn Koing, was built as the residence of the first Prime Minister of England, Robert Walpole. It’s located in Norfolk, England and was built in the 1720’s. It housed the Prime Minister’s extensive art collection that was displayed against lavishly papered walls. Inspired by historical textiles in the home, this collection includes a handsome pheasant print recreated in the colors of the early to mid-eighteenth century.
