Meet Me at the Museum Groups

Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum members love to get together and share:
*  what they are working on;
*  techniques;
*  and community.

They also love to invite others and meet new people.

One of the ways we do this is through Meet Me at the Museum groups.

These groups are FREE and open to non-members as well as members.
Leaders or others often make a short presentation to get the discussion rolling.
Show and tell of individual's projects being worked on is common.
A member asking advice on their project is also a very common occurrence.

Groups currently meeting monthly include:
Hexie Ladies - English Paper Piecers
Hand Embroidery Stitchers
Rocky Mountain Quilt Study Group
Blue and White Group (or any 2 Color quilt)

Blue & White / Two Color Group had RETIRED!

They gathered for the last time, November 4th, to celebrate the journey of the last year working on quilts that were inspired by a quilt in the Permanent Collection: PQ.2008.001.005 . One of the founding members of the 2 Color Group recreated the quilt in some fabrics dear to her and commented,  " Focusing on a two-color quilt was such a creative and traditional quilt experience."

Over the year and a few months, the group looked at many quilts to compare styles, patterns, and gather inspiration of traditional designs vs more modern interpretations, provided critiques of the progress of the Blue and White Trunk Show that the museum rolled out in early 2025, and at their monthly gathering, encouraged and helped each other with decisions along the way. Not all quilters in the group completed their quilts, but they all developed their concepts and clarified where they were going with their 2 color quilts and put more emphasis on enjoying the process and appreciating the visual impact of these quilts.
