Patriotic Project Day – Monday July 6 9:30 – 3:30
Celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary can be a lot of fun and for Quilters is a perfect reason to make a Commemorative project.
If you have fabric or panels and are looking for ideas – this is a day to share ideas and allow RMQM to help you start your project. We have volunteers and staff ready to help you move forward – especially with things like panels that can be a bit of a challenge to work with. We have gathered some helpful books from the library and from the shop, to create a group of resources.
We will also have a bit of history for you – how have quilters used quilts to memorialize special events and create remembrances for their families? This may help you figure out what you need to include in your special project to Celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary.
Join us in the classroom for the day – to work on your project or figure out what you want to do with the items you have collected for creating your Patriotic Project.
A small fee is being charged to support RMQM’s staff time, as well as facility costs. We hope you totally enjoy this day and find it productive and informative.
