Basics of Quilt Top Construction

This is a great class for the beginner or anyone who wants to improve their quilt piecing skills. Learn great tips for choosing fabric, rotary cutting techniques, pressing and piecing of this wonderful quilt top. Rita will help you thru the basic steps for making “Daybreak” by Moda quilt top which measures 64 x 80 inches. There will be lots of discussions, experience and practical tips for strip piecing the star blocks by making flying geese units, square in a square units, fussy cutting alternate blocks and quilt top construction with triangle border as well as finishing ideas. Join Rita in making this beautiful top, improving your skills and enjoying time with other quilters.

Class is limited to 10 students.  Please bring lunch!

Fabric is NOT supplied.  Each student needs to bring the fabrics of their choice and accompanying sewing supplies.
