Instructor Bio:
Doris DeGenova has been creating with fiber and stitches since childhood. She was taught by her mother initially and remembers being in awe of the neatness of her craft. Doris has worked as a pattern designer and tailor, and owned her own Home D?cor business when she left all of that behind to soley design and make quilts 20 years ago. She is mostly a self-taught quilter who prefers traditional patchwork and basic construction techniques, often designing vintage quilts with the look and feel of a previous era. Her quilts have been awarded ribbons including two from Mancuso and have been raffled off to benefit Quilting organizations raising in excess of $15,000.00!
Doris is a current Docent at Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum, hosting tours and trunk shows for them since 2009, and is also a member of the Arapahoe County Quilt Guild.
