Stellar means exceptional or outstanding. It also means of or relating to stars. Stellar Quilts, then, are star quilts that are also exceptional quilts. Judy Martin’s design skill shines like the stars in this exhibit of her star quilts from 2000-2022. From patriotic, to classic 2 color, to vibrant – vibrating color combinations, Judy’s ability to combine colors and multiple stars and star blocks – will have you seeing stars everywhere.

19th Century Blues: It's More Than Indigo

This traveling exhibit includes 25 study quilts made by members of the American Quilt Study Group. These quilts have been inspired by an historic quilt representing the exhibit theme and study period, and signage describes the inspiration quilt and the learning experience of the maker.

A Bed Turning - 100 Years of Quilts with Stories
Sunday at the Museum - March 9 with Jeananne Wright
Jeananne has been collecting quilts for years and as an educator, she has been intriqued by the stories that go with quilts. In this presentation, Jeananne will be bringing about 25 of her quilts that have special importance to her, dating from 1850 to 1950. She will share the special meaning to her of each one, and along the way will teach about fabrics, color and dyes, and other significant details about quilts.
