Welcome to the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum
Denver Metro Modern Quilt Guild
"How New Is Modern?"On Exhibit until February 3, 2018The Denver Metro Modern Quilt Guild hosted a call for entries in 2017 for a modern quilt exhibit, "How New is Modern?" Their goal was to tell a story about how modern quilting has emerged out of quilting’s long history. By engaging with traditional quilts in a modern way and linking them to modern aesthetics, it creates a point of connection and dialog between traditional and modern quilts.

SUNDAY AT THE MUSEUM
Quilting Through the Stage Door
with Hannah Claassen
January 14th, 2018 - 2:00—4:00pm
Hannah Claassen, a longarm quilter residing in Conifer, Colorado, will take us through her journey of discovery and creation from dance to fabric. She will touch on how she discovered quilting and how her first love of dance informs how she views fabric, quilting, design and stitching. This will not be an ordinary trunk show.
The mission of the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum is to collect, preserve, exhibit, and educate the public about quilts;honor quilt making traditions; and embrace the evolution of the art and craft of quilting.
