RMQM welcomes all Girl Scouts and leaders to participate in our specially designed workshops. Girls will learn and develop skills to last a lifetime while fulfilling requirements for Brownie Try-Its and Junior Scout badges.

Girl Scout Program

The Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum invites all Brownie and Junior Girl Scouts and leaders to visit our internationally recognized quilt museum in Golden, Colorado. Working together with the Mile Hi Girl Scouts Council, we have designed a variety of fun workshops that can be applied to fulfilling the requirements for the following:

Each individual workshop fee includes all materials listed, including a wide variety of fabrics and embellishments, and a brief child-friendly tour of a current quilt exhibit for all enrolled Scouts and accompanying adults.

The Museum volunteers and staff wish to be flexible and to work with each troop to arrange workshop dates. All workshops will be held at RMQM, 1111 Washington Avenue in Golden, CO 80401 located at the east side of the famous "Howdy Folks, Welcome to Golden" arch.

The troop leader, and at least one adult helper per 5 scouts, must accompany scouts at all times at RMQM. No other children are allowed to stay in the classroom, and non-enrolled children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. No food or drinks are allowed in the Museum galleries or classrooms.

Cancellation Policy: Troop leader may cancel before seven (7) days prior to workshop date for a full refund. Deposit is non-refundable if troop cancels less than seven (7) days before workshop. The Museum reserves the right to cancel a workshop, with a full refund given.

Please submit the workshop registration form at least three (3) weeks prior to the desired workshop date. Mail the registration form and $50.00 deposit to the Museum. Click here for a downloadable registration form in pdf format.
