  Museum Store

We carry a wide selection of historical quilting books and technical guides, along with the latest in quilt care and restorative products.  Consignment items include vintage quilts and textiles, miniature framed quilts, polymer clay jewelry and Giclee prints of quilts. A wide selection of Jim Shore figurines graces our window, we believe the largest selection in the area. Stop by and say Hello!

The Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum III fabric line has arrived! Pre-orders are being filled as we speak, and yardage is available for $9.50 per yd. In conjunction with the arrival of the new fabric line, Carolyn Cullinan McCormick, author of Quilts for Rosie, www.addaqtr.com has designed a foundation pieced Ocean Waves quilt utilizing the Museum line of fabric. Patterns and kits are available in the QuiltMarket. The fabric is pictured on the Marcus Fabrics website and was developed from RMQM’s "Ocean Waves" quilt top. If you're interested in these fabrics, please call 303-215-9001 and speak to a Museum Store Associate. We will be glad to help you with your selections.

Rooted in Tradition: Art Quilts from the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum tells the story of three decades of the Art Quilt Movement in America, from the early 1980s through today. Included are quilts from 58 artists, each of whom has a special place in the movement's history. From Therese May's early work "Baskets" through Michael James' cutting edge "American Dream," these works clearly illustrate why quilts have moved from bed to art museum. Colorful and informative, Rooted in Tradition: Art Quilts from the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum is more than an exhibition catalog: it is an authoritatively written look at the history of the art quilt and a personal narrative by each artist in the collection. This book received First Place in the category Books & Exhibition Catalogues at the Mountain Plains Museum Association Publication Design Competition.
