Meet RMQM featured consignor…Steve Bowley
Steve Bowley came to quilting by accident but has grown to enjoy it more and more. Most of his quilts are based on traditional designs but with a contemporary twist. He also makes small art quilts and strives to break out of his comfort zone and make pieces that are increasingly less traditional. Steve is also interested in the modern quilt movement and clean, minimalistic designs. He has been a frequent exhibitor in RMQM’s men’s quilt exhibits. His elegant pincushions set into Japanese tea bowls and vintage cups are among the shop’s most sought-after gift items.
Recently retired from Denver Public Schools, where he was a classroom teacher and school librarian, Steve manages the museum’s Sandra Dallas Library and docents on Tuesday afternoons.
