Fabric & Friends
Saturday, April 19, 2008

Thank you to everyone who attended our Fabric & Friends luncheon.

This event was a great success in large part to our sponsors:

Lou Ann Bissett, Real Eastate of the Rockies
Arapahoe County Quilters
Ferrari of Denver
Make It Sew
Columbine Quilt Guild

The live and silent action generated some great bidding and everyone had a wonderful time.

Our sincere thanks and appreciation to the RMQM staff and volunteers for helping make this event a success.

Special thanks to The Greenwood Village Quilters for creating the beautiful centerpieces. We also would like to thank pianist Linda Jackson for sharing her incredible talents with us.

The Patchwork Society 2008
The Patchwork Society is coming to the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum. Beginning in January 2008, Kaye England’s patterns, Voices of the Past, will be brought to you as we celebrate the lives of some extraordinary women who have helped shape the nation’s history.  Each month we will spend some time on discussing these remarkable women and part of the period will be spent reviewing piecing techniques for these blocks. Patterns can be used as a “block” a month; or for the very industrious, a “quilt” a month.

A quilt block that has been chosen to represent the women studied will be made available to participants. We hope to further the study of women’s history, and learn viable quilting skills. Meetings will be held the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:00 pm in the Education room. Membership is $15 per month which includes a pattern, supplemental materials and a SURPRISE!
